Tick Twister

The Tick Twister is an easy-to-use product developed by a veterinarian to fully remove ticks from animals.

Once attached to animals, ticks inject toxins. The Tick Twister allows removal of the tick without compressing the body, thus reducing the likelihood of further injection of potentially deadly toxins into the animal during tick removal.

The rotating motion used to remove the tick allows the barbed mouth pieces attached firmly under the animal's skin to be detached fully and removed with the body of the tick.

The ease of use combined with two different hook sizes means owners can remove ticks of all sizes easily and painlessly from their beloved pet.

How to use the product

1. Choose the correct size hook - the small hook for small or very small unengorged ticks; the larger hook for medium to large engorged ticks.
2. Hold the handle between your thumb and forefinger and secure the hook around the tick at the level of the animal's skin. Approaching the tick from the side is recommended.
3. Lift the hook slightly and gently rotate the hook 2-3 times in either direction and the tick will lift free.

There are 2 hook sizes for The Tick Twister, small and large. Each packet contains both hook sizes.

Tips and tricks

It is recommended to tick search your pets daily during the tick season. Removal of any tick as soon as it is noticed will result in fewer toxins entering your pet's bloodstream.

Ensure that any ticks are killed after removal from the animal to prevent them from re-attaching or attaching to another animal or human.
