Revolution kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides sp.) on pets and flea larvae in the environment which treated animals contact for one month following administration. It makes flea eggs non-viable, and stops flea reproduction. Revolution treats flea allergy dermatitis. For optimal flea control, it is recommended that all cats and dogs in the same environment are treated with Revolution.
Monthly administration of Revolution also prevents heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) disease in dogs and cats. Revolution also treats ear mites (Otodectes cynotis) in cats with a single dose and eliminates 90% of ear mites in dogs after two doses, and controls these with monthly dosing.
It controls hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and roundworm (Toxocara cati) in cats. Sarcoptic mange mites in dogs (Sarcoptes scabiei) are also treated and controlled with monthly dosing of Revolution.
Revolution is waterproof from two hours after application, so the animal may be bathed or shampooed from this time with no reduction in effectiveness of the product.
Warnings, Side Effects and Drug Interactions: Revolution may be administered to puppies or kittens greater than 6 weeks of age. It may be safely used in pregnant and lactating females and in breeding animals.
Avoid contact of the product with the eyes. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames or other sources of ignition as it is flammable.
Dosage and Administration: Treat the animal with a tube of Revolution once monthly. Depress the cap to puncture the seal, then remove the cap. Part the hair on the back of the animal in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube to empty its entire contents directly on to the skin in one spot. Do not massage into the skin. Ensure the coat is dry before applying Revolution.
Storage: Store below 30 deg. C (room temperature) in the original carton.
