Product Detail: Nature Vet Joint Guard Liver Treats
Joint Guard Liver Treats are a natural dietary supplement designed to help maintain joint function in dogs and cats. Long-term use of this product may help to reduce non-infectious joint inflammation in treated animals. The combination of ingredients in Joint Gurad has been shown to be effective in helping to repair damaged cartilage and help maintain cartilage health in joints and to improve the quality of the joint fluid lubricating the joint, for smoother, more supported movement. Joint Guard is the only registered product available in Australia which contains MSM, which assists in relieving the pain associated with inflammation.
As Joint Guard is a gentle, natural supplement, it may take a few weeks before results are noticed in your pet. For this reason, a higher "loading dose" is recommended for the first 4-6 weeks of treatment, reducing by half for an ongoing maintenance dose for long-term use. The liver treats contain 100% liver base and are highly palatable and can be dosed by hand, as a treat. Each pack contains approximately 120 bites.
Dosage and Administration: The dosing guide is based on weight. Each treat is equivalent to 1.25g of powder.
For the initial 4-6 weeks of treatment, the following is recommended:
- Weight under 5kg: 1 treat daily
- 5-10kg: 2 treats daily
- 11-22kg: 4 treats daily
- 23-44kg: 6 treats daily
- 11-22kg: 8 treats daily
For ongoing maintenance dosing:
- Weight under 5kg: 1/2 treat daily
- 5-10kg: 1 treat daily
- 11-22kg: 2 treats daily
- 23-44kg: 4 treats daily
- 11-22kg: 6 treats daily
Storage: Store in a dry place below 30 deg. C. Ensure ziplock pack is properly resealed after use to ensure freshness.
